Desert Hot Springs High School wishes to acknowledge the considerable efforts of Nancy Wright and the Mission Springs Water District, together with Marge Cook and the Groundwater Guardians Program. Due to their persistence, Desert Hot Springs High School was named the first Groundwater Guardian Campus in America on October 17, 2000. The theme of water protection, conservation and stewardship is becoming a school wide norm, reflecting its importance to the community it serves.
